About

The Casualty & Emergency department has been operational since RRSH's Phase I opening in 2008. It functions as the primary emergency intake point for the Amravati Division, receiving trauma cases, acute medical emergencies, and referrals from district hospitals across Amravati, Akola, Yavatmal, Buldhana, and Washim districts.

The department provides 24-hour stabilisation, triage, and onward referral to specialist departments. All eligible patients receive cashless emergency care under MJPJAY / PMJAY.

Emergency services include trauma management, acute cardiac and neurological intake, obstetric emergencies, and paediatric acute care. The department coordinates with Nephrology, Cardiology, Neurology, and Paediatric Surgery for specialist escalation.
