The Neurology & Neurosurgery department launched with Phase II in 2022 and has grown to 11,551 OPD visits and 1,120 surgeries in 2025-26 — representing 322% OPD growth in just two years.
In 2025, RRSH performed three cochlear implants — the first ever in Maharashtra's Public Health Department. Restoring hearing at public cost for children who would otherwise face lifelong deafness.
The department handles brain tumour resections, complex spine surgeries, and neurovascular interventions — tertiary neurological care previously unavailable in the public sector in the Amravati Division.
