Cardiology

CVTS Unit Activation

The Cardio-Vascular Thoracic Surgery unit building and infrastructure on the Third Floor is structurally complete. A specialist team is in place. Instruments and equipment are pending to activate open-heart surgical capability.

Diagnostics

Blood Bank Equipment

A licensed blood bank facility on the Second Floor is structurally complete. Equipment activation will make this the only government blood bank in Amravati district.

MRI Activation

MRI services are currently provided through an outsourced MOU arrangement. An on-site MRI unit is planned. Once operational, this will eliminate outward referrals for neurological and oncological imaging.

Rehabilitation

Physiotherapy Equipment

The Physiotherapy unit space is ready. Six key devices are needed to operationalise a full rehabilitation programme for post-surgical and neurological patients.

Nephrology

Urology OT Laparoscope

The Urology OT is fully operational. A laparoscope is required to perform minimally invasive urological procedures. Currently, patients requiring laparoscopic urology are treated with open surgery or referred out.

Cardiology

Second Cath Lab

The existing Cath Lab performed 1,901 angiographies in 2025-26. A second lab is planned to reduce wait times and expand capacity for cardiac interventions.
