The Plastic Surgery department has been operational since 2008 and has seen extraordinary demand growth — OPD has grown 808% from 1,367 (2020-21) to 12,415 (2025-26).
The department handles complex reconstructive surgeries, burn management, microsurgical procedures, and congenital corrections that are unavailable in district hospitals across Vidarbha.
For burn victims and patients with disfiguring injuries, RRSH provides the only accessible reconstructive option in the public system in the Amravati Division.
