The Nephrology & Urology OPD is the highest-volume specialist clinic at RRSH, serving over 34,000 patients in 2025–26. Consultations cover the full range of kidney diseases including chronic kidney disease (CKD), acute kidney injury, nephrotic syndrome, polycystic kidney disease, and all urological conditions affecting the bladder, prostate, ureters, and urinary tract. Post-transplant patients receive lifelong follow-up care at this clinic.

Who needs this service

Patients with high creatinine levels, reduced kidney function, blood in urine, kidney stones, repeated urinary infections, prostate enlargement, or referred for transplant evaluation.

What to expect

A specialist consultation lasting approximately 20–30 minutes. The doctor will review your reports, examine you, and prescribe investigations or medications. Bring all previous blood reports, urine tests, and imaging (ultrasound/CT) to your appointment.

How to prepare

Fast for 4–6 hours if blood tests are expected. Bring all previous reports, prescriptions, and imaging. If you are on dialysis, inform the OPD staff on arrival.
