The Physiotherapy department provides structured physical rehabilitation using therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, electrotherapy (ultrasound, TENS, IFT), and hydrotherapy. RRSH conducted 5,408 physiotherapy sessions in 2025–26. The unit supports post-surgical recovery for orthopaedic, neurological, cardiac, and oncology patients, as well as chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
Post-surgical patients recovering from orthopaedic, neurological, or cardiac procedures. Patients with stroke requiring motor rehabilitation. Chronic conditions such as back pain, joint stiffness, post-fracture weakness, or neurological deficits.
An initial assessment of your strength, range of motion, and functional ability. A personalised treatment programme is designed and sessions are scheduled. Each session lasts 30–60 minutes depending on the condition. You will be taught exercises to continue at home.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Bring your medical reports and surgical discharge summary if referred post-operatively.
This service is available at no cost to all eligible patients under the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana (MJPJAY) and Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY). Patients from all five Amravati division districts are eligible.
