The department handles acute burn management, chronic post-burn contracture release, skin grafting, free-flap microsurgery, cleft lip and palate repair, syndactyly correction, and complex wound reconstruction. OPD volume has grown 808% in five years.

Who needs this service

Patients with burn injuries (acute or reconstructive), non-healing wounds, post-accident facial injuries, congenital deformities such as cleft lip/palate or fused fingers, keloid scars, or complex wounds needing reconstruction.

What to expect

Consultation followed by surgical planning. Surgical duration and hospital stay vary widely — minor procedures may be day surgery; complex reconstruction or burns may require several weeks of inpatient care with multiple procedures.
